What you'll do: fill in the information about your book — title, author, language and more — that stores use to list it. This is called your book's metadata.
You'll find these fields on the Setup step, under Book metadata.

The essentials
Three fields are required for a valid e-book:
- Title — the name of your book.
- Author — your name as it should appear to readers.
- Language — pick from the list (for example English (United States)). This helps e-readers hyphenate and pronounce text correctly.
Fill these in and the pre-flight check on the Export step will pass.
Optional but recommended
- Subtitle and Edition — shown alongside the title.
- ISBN — you can enter separate numbers for the print and e-book editions if you have them. Leave blank if you don't.
- Series and Book # — if your book is part of a series.
- Publisher and Publisher website — your imprint's name and link.
Tips
- Nothing here is permanent — you can change any field and re-export at any time.
- These details are saved in your project, so if you apply the same project to another document they carry over.
