What you'll do: add a set of named styles to your Word document so you can mark up special passages — verse, block quotes, attributions and notes — that Bookbndr will then format beautifully in your book.
This is on the Setup step, under Bookbndr styles (available when you're working inside Word).

Why use them
Word's normal text can't tell Bookbndr that a paragraph is a poem or a quotation. These named styles do. Once a passage carries the right style, Bookbndr recognizes it and applies your design — for example indenting a block quote or preserving the line breaks in verse.
Add the styles
- On Setup, find Bookbndr styles.
- Click Add styles to document.
- You'll see a confirmation like "Added 6 styles".
Use them in Word
Back in Word, select a passage and apply the matching style from the style list — for example Bookbndr Verse or Bookbndr Block Quote. Then return to Bookbndr and press Re-scan document so it picks up the changes.

You control exactly how each of these looks on the Design step — see Style block quotes, verse & notes.
